Software used - Maya, Arnold, Photoshop

Transformers are extremely complex to build in 3D, since it
involves hundreds of moving elements and it would
eventually transform into a vehicle, in this case a Porche 911.
It needs to be functional but at the same time
aesthetically pretty cool to look at.
The first step is set a persona to the character by
understanding the strenghts and weaknesses.
A backstory would always help us build a character
and breathe life into it.
This concept model was entirely created in Maya based on the concept sketch by Parallax Studios, using the bare basic tools available within. I also jumped into photoshop to
reimagine certain areas that I felt couldv'e used some improvement.

PAINT-OVERS
I used photoshop to sketch a few design iterations in the earlier stages. The idea is to lock in on one of them to continue designing the asset. I ran the same approach on some other areas of the concept to achieve a better design result.

PLANNING AND DESIGN STUDY
One of the crucial things while designing an asset is to plan the references and set a language. And that is exactly whatI have done here - segmented the core areas and did some study on the parts, shape, materials, wear and tear, etc.
